Personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Katsina were full of excitement since Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 September 2025 because of the decoration of officers and men following the outcome of the rescent promotion exercise corps wide.
The sector commander, corps commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede in his address during the decoration of the promoted officers and men, urged them to reciprocate the good gesture of the Corps Marshal's commitment to the welfare of staff by being more productive than ever before.
Commander Lede added that Katsina command made up of the state command headquaters and its component units have 167 staff who benefited from the promotion exercise comprising 15 officers and 152 Marshals that were decorated in a simultaneous exercise at their commands of operations.
Describing the Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, mni as a proactive leader known for his progressive approach, in prioritising staff welfare, not just as a supportive measure but as a transformative leadership strategy. His commitment, Lede said is revolutionising organisational dynamics and redefining the potential of welfare programmes to foster loyalty, enhance productivity, and build an environment where employees thrive.
The Corps Marshal understands that welfare policies are more than mere benefits; they’re investments in the people who drive the organisation forward. His leadership philosophy embodies the belief that employee welfare is directly linked to performance, satisfaction, and the overall health of the Corps.
The sector commander charged all the promoted staff to live up to expectations, bearing in mind, the imperatives of doubling their efforts for greater performance in the work place, kowing that to whom much is given, much is expected corroborating the saying that, the price of hard work is more work
Corps commander Lede pledged that the management shall do everything possible to ensure that the work environment is made friendly enough for every staff to achieve purpose, while assuring the motoring public on greater days ahead as the Corps is now more motivated to entrench safety on our roads for the benefit of all motorists.
Lede reiterated on balanncing management welfare effort with discipline and warn every member of staff against indolence and indiscipline in all ramificatons.
